Hello Spring! March News

As we step into spring all things are blooming at Wrapped in Love…….as we continue to grow and spread LOVE with your help and support! Wrapped in Love is thrilled to share with you that as our 2nd year comes to an end in March, again we have exceeded our projected goals of 2200 handmade blankets!

With your help and support we have distributed 3000 handmade blankets to comfort cancer patients!

We distributed blankets to Hillman Cancer Center, St. Clair Hospital, Forbes Regional, WPAH Peters Twp. Outpatient Hospital, UPMC Upper St. Clair Outpatient Center, Altoona Hospital, Jefferson Memorial, American Cancer Society, Ronald McDonald, Magee Women’s Hospital and Texas Oncology Center.

We would like to thank all of our dedicated “Blanket Brigade Volunteers”, who give their precious time each month to make and donate blankets to comfort cancer patients. You ALL are AWESOME!!! A very special thank you to Linda Sheariss our “Blanket Extradionair” who has set a goal of making one- blanket – a- day in 2013 ……365……..WOW!!!! Linda, you are AMAZING!!!! Thank you to Pat Radford and Cindy Nicola for their dedication and ongoing support…..You ladies are wonderful!!! Ms. Eddy and the Carlynton National Junior Honor Society for another year of great blanket making that took place on March 8th. You all ROCK and are an inspiration to all.

A BIG shout out Thank you to Danielle, Amber and the Hillman Cancer Center Staff for an AWESOME Blanket Drive that was held during the month of February. Due to the overwhelming response on April 5th…….. “A Blanket – Making – Day” will be held at Hillman Cancer Center and the Staff will join us to make blankets!!! We are ecstatic and looking forward to meeting everyone!!!!

AUSTINITES………..Mark your Calendars….April 23, 2013 “The CLEAN SLATE EVENT “ will be held at: Black Finn 11410 Century Oaks Terrace in Austin, Texas to benefit Wrapped in Love. It’s going to be a great fun night out with…… vendors, silent auction and meeting great people! Hope you can join us Tickets may be purchased here.

As many of you may know, February 14th is the day my husband Jim, passed …… In 2011, Wrapped in Love was created in his memory. We are so very grateful to you all for for helping us to spread love and comfort others.

THE LATEST NEWS!!!!!!! A BIG Shout Out Special Thank You to the Hillman Cancer Center and Staff for hosting the Wrapped in Love Blanket Drive during the month of February. Due to the overwhelming response and enthusiastic staff…………. A  Blanket – Making Day will be held at Hillman. We are static and so very grateful to everyone who participated in this wonderful event! We are looking forward to meeting everyone and making lotssss of blankets!!!!

Recommended size (50x60) Hand-made quilts, Crocheted/knitted, No-Sew Polar fleece-tied blankets and HAND-MADE blankets.
