A Special Note of Thanks…

To everyone who has supported our mission to comfort cancer patients undergoing treatment. All of our dedicated and generous Blanket Brigade Volunteers, Quilters and Crocheting Angels for their ongoing labor of love throughout the year making & donating all the beautiful blankets, quilts and afghans. You ALL are AMAZING! A Big shout out thank you to ALL the individual donors and businesses that have so generously donated to Wrapped in Love. We are so very grateful for your support!

2012 has been an extraordinary year and we are pleased to announce since Wrapped in Love was created in 2011…we have distributed over 2,500 blankets to warm and comfort patients with your generosity and help!!! We are currently, distributing blankets to Hillman Cancer Center, St. Clair Hospital, UPMC Upper St. Clair Outpatient Center, WPAH Peters Township Outpatient Center, Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Forbes Hospital, American Cancer Society, Ronald McDonald House, Magee Women’s Hospital, as well as Texas Oncology Center in Austin, Texas. Our First Chapter of Wrapped in Love in Austin opened in September 2011 by my daughter, Robin Emmerich.

The response from both patient and staff are overwhelmingly positive and loving! They can’t believe strangers make and donate them and are “FREE.” One patient said, “It’s the best gift she has ever received! Another gentleman wrote, “You are the beauty of the earth today, no matter what bad happens it helps knowing you are there.” Every note we receive is so very touching and heartfelt.

“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much” Helen Keller

We are very excited and looking forward to continued growth and comforting even more patients in 2013. We truly appreciate you and your generous hearts…Thank you for helping us to spread love!

May you have a blessed Holiday Season and joyous New Year!!!

With Love and Gratitude,
Darvina Emmerich
